My thoughts on Vit D are this if you get sunshine daily you are getting all the Vit D necessary now milk and other products are fortified perhaps an excesss is occuring in particular in those who drink milk Vit D has other benefits but when is the last time you heard of anyone having Rickets I am all but convinced that artery disease is caused by milk and Vit D fortification in my case anyway
Re: Reversing and controlling Artery blockage
ARe you worried about vit. D toxicity in general, or from the vit.D in milk? I’m hearing nutritional doctors saying that there may be a deficiency of vit. D3 in our diets. This is not clear. It just occured to me, that I’d like to try a tablespoon of ACV in a large glass of freshly made juice from a “tart” apple variety. I didn’t know that Jarvis (whose views I haven’t read) believed that “acid” is the only way to remove plaque and calcification. I hope he’s right.
Reversing and controlling Artery blockage
Whether you are a Pauling and Rath believer, with there Vit C and lysine cure,,,,, or D C Jarvis, or other program,,,,,, one thing to note,, is ACID,,, Jarvis says, and did so first,,,,1956,,,,,, is the only way to remove Plaque and calcification. His Apple cider vinegar is Malic Acid,,,,,,,Pauling’s is Ascorbic Acid,,,,, both of these men who are not motivated by profit,,,,,, at least point us in the right direction. Much more has been learned since 1956 and 1962 or so,,,,since these men discovered the importance of Acid in the blood. Cholesterol control being one. I firmly believe my Coronary artery blockage was caused primarily from the consumption of Cow Milk. Milk contains every ingredient for Aterersclerois,,,,,, Fat, Calcium,,,,and Vitamin D. I mentioned once before that Vit D Toxicity,,,, could well be the catalysts for this disease,,,, or better described as a dietary problem. When I was growing up,,,, and as an adult, (see the commercials) milk was considered robust,,, and healthy way to maintain health. All my life, into my 60th birthday,,,, I never had a meal without Milk,,,,,, People in France and Italy have much less heart disease,,, once again, we are mislead,, as this is attributed to drinking wine,,,, its not the wine,,,, its the absence of Cow Milk. Wine on the other hand is one step away from being Vinegar.
Re: heart attacks, zoloft & sex
Hi Mary Best of luck with your health problems and those of your husband. I suffer from angina, which remains, now after 8 years, untreated by orthodox methods. I’m still struggling to find the right combination of diet and exercise, with some help from nutritional supplements, to rid myself of some of the chest pain. I know that I came near death, when I was admitted the first time to the emergency room, that my cardiovascular disease was more an outcome of poor eating habits, and the overweight, the impaired immunity, the poor nerve function, the insomnia, etc., that those foolish dietary habits led to, than any other factor. I can’t speak for anyone else, but the most productive moves I make, continue to be the best dietary improvements. When I diet wisely, my exercise potential improves, my sleep improves, everything improves. I believe I’m alive today, because I’ve never stopped researching the foods I eat, and don’t eat. John P.
heart attacks, zoloft & sex
Hi Everyone! I have been searching for days for an online chat about heart problems which is going on 24/7 or at least in the afternoon and evening. Here is the problem. My husband, very athletic, healthy eater, etc. had a heart attack in October of 2001. Since then he was given beta blockers and then he also went on zoloft for depression. We have been together since high school and would like to continue, at some point, to have a normal sex life again. I should mention that I also have had a recent hysterectomy, which hasnt helped. Primarily I am concerned about his health, obviously, but he would like to get off the beta blockers. The reason he had the heart attack was because of high cholesterol, so he had a blockage. It is hereditary. The doctors said his heart was very strong and they believe that has to do with how athletic he’s been. It is very depressing for both of us, as I am sure you all know from your own experiences. Could anyone direct me to a good chatroom where we could be supported during this time? I dont really want to post. I am looking for “real time” chat. Thank You ALL, Mary
Ceviche!
All cooking destroys some nutrients; However it makes some others more available. The Omega 3 is not destroyed in baking according to studies using flaxseed flour. Overcooked fish is dry and tasteless so maybe that tells us something about how fish is changed by cooking.. Also studies show that those who eat fish are survivors, without respect to how it is cooked. Does that help?
Re: Fish eggs?
Fish eggs?
My BP was low in Jan then lately it got alarmingly high. Just recently the last few days I ate really good stuff. and the BP got a little lower. Then today I ate some fish food?? and the BP came back 122 over 75, way better than the 180 over 97 of last week. Does any one believe that special food could have this effect? Lorenzo
Interesting reading
Hi Bill I went back and read this old post you sent out concerning cholesterol and hydration. Batmanghelidj (MD) says that caffeinated beverages actually dehydrate us further. But I read recently, that coffee and other beverages that contain caffeine, can be considered to add to the hydration of the body, and that the notion that they aren’t acceptable for hydrating the body, is fallacious. Once more, we’re presented with conflicting information about important nutritional matters. If I can locate the source that said caffeinated beverages could be included with other beverages as acceptable liquids for body hydration, I’ll post it. John P.
